Wake-up

Here's some interesting facts: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=43371.

I don't think, though, that pure numbers necessarily answers the question. It is possible that the nature of this crisis differs from the downturns of the past, and that the nature of our current economic woes forcasts a horrible horrible horrible future.

But, it would appear that Obama's fear mongering is nothing more than what government fear mongering always is--a convenient method for justifying bloating the government.

Now, I'd like to draw your attention to the end of the article:

And it could be a self-fulfilling prophecy: America’s economy has grown in the
past because the American people have not been overburdened by government. Obama could cause irreversible decline by creating an unsustainable government.

Yesterday, I read an article about the return of the Fairness Doctrine. The article ended with something like: "the return of the fairness doctrine would be a significant first step towards totalitarianism."

WAKE UP FOLKS. Where are the hobbits running around yelling FEAR, FIRE, FOES? (Yes, we need the hobbits, the common people, running around shouting Fear, Fire, Foes, not our presidents and Congress.)

The fairness doctrine wouldn't be a first step towards totalitarianism. We're a whole lot further along that diabolical path than the first step.

Obama's "stimulus" package isn't going to create an unsustainable government. We did that a long time ago too.

As you see, I've abstained from lacing the above sentences with explecatives. To get the real tone in which I'm saying this, use your own choice French and a slightly louder and faster than usual voice of aggravation and frustration.

Whats also frustrating is spending 20 million on mouse preservation that is going into the stimulus and other pork projects. see drudge. I dont know why we are bankrupting our grandchildren for mice.
