Why are these so good?

And a good evening to you. We've just wrapped up this month's Jovial Beggars English Country Dance. A fun time was had by all.

On the way there, we stopped at good old Walmart and picked up a large package of some of my favorite cookies (pictured above).

These amazing specimens of ridiculously good desserts have been my favorite store-bought cookies since Cynthia, my old UMR Writing Center boss, got me hooked on them during our end-of-semester write-around-the-clock event.

I tend to avoid icing.

I tend to avoid sickeningly sweet desserts.

I tend to avoid store-bought cookies.

But something about these cookies are amazing.
